Claires Court staff members will be taking part in the 2021 Race the Thames challenge to raise money and awareness for two charities; London Youth Rowing (LYR), and Aspire

The race is taking place from 22 - 29 March 2021 where eight staff members will be collectively running, cycling, rowing, or walking 346km - the length of the Thames!

All money raised will go to two charities chosen by staff.  London Youth Rowing works across London to bring rowing to disadvantaged communities, aiming to get young people active. Aspire provides support and practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury, supporting them through gaining their independence back.

Tom Aggar, organiser of the challenge for Claires Court, said: “I’m really looking forward to taking part. Both of our chosen charities make such a difference to people’s lives so we are all working together for a good cause. Plus, it’ll be good fun and has given the team a new fitness goal over lockdown!”

Good luck to everyone taking part. The team is made up of:

  • Tom Aggar
  • Mike Hudson
  • Lydia Lowry
  • Huw Buckle
  • Charlie Ingham Clark
